Words have some obvious power. But, there's a lot more to it than that. It's not just the power of words to affect the world around us because of OTHER people hearing them.
Our words affect US. What's amazing is that, by affecting our psyche, words also affect the reality we live in and what happens to us in life. Our world is largely the making of the way we think. And words, especially spoken out loud words, have a powerful effect on the way we think. Much more so than I would ever expect. But, the fact has proven itself to me on more than one occasion. |
