Wisdom 101
from Spirit Flight (a Yahoo group)

The Old Wizard calls to the people, come hear the tales of wisdom. Some come, some don't.

The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, or so it is written.

Is that to be afraid of the Goddesses and Gods, or is that to respect them? The question hangs there. And this wisdom is discussed.

Season comes, Season goes, Season comes again. Talk and watch. Who will learn? Who is willing?

Then one day, after a time, he stands, shakes his staff, and frightens the students away. Once in a while, one come back, tilts their head to the side, and ask, "Do we really have to be afraid of our Gods? Or is it true that it is only that we need to respect our Goddesses?

And the wizard laughs, long, loud, and hard, embraces the student's soul, and say, "There are no truths, my child, only stories." And such is the way of wisdom. Learn now, learn well.
